David O'Hanlon



“Purpose matters to humans because that's how we're wired.”

David is an experienced, international strategist and planner who is uniquely a Chartered Accountant who has practiced marketing and branding at the highest level. His inquiring, analytical and inventive mind-set enables him to get to the bottom of what really drives behaviour and financial outcomes. 

David was the planner of three of the most effective and famous marketing campaigns of the last 20 years: Tango (1993 -1996), the origination of the Ronseal “Does What It Says on the Tin” campaign (1994), and the “Priceless” MasterCard Europe campaign (2004-2011). He served on the Executive Board of HHCL where his roles included Chief Strategic Officer, Joint MD and Head of Innovation. 

Previous roles also include European and Global Planning Director at McCann and Lowe & Partners and Director of Strategy at the innovative big data company Beyond Analysis. 

Currently, David’s personal Purpose is to solve the UK's housing crisis through his role as Director at New Urban Living, by working to ensure the UK’s housing stock fits its demographics – and in the process to eradicate the scourge of loneliness in our ageing population.
